Veriflow Technology Recognized by Chicago Innovation Awards

Chicago Innovation Awards

This week, we learned that Veriflow had been named a finalist for the 15th annual Chicago Innovation Awards. Out of 643 applicants received this year, Veriflow was among the 100 selected. Each finalist is also in the running for the annual “People’s Choice Award,” selected through online balloting. Please vote for us. You’ll find Veriflow under the “Business Service” category on page 4. Voting ends Thursday, October 6, so cast your ballot soon. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on October 25 at Chicago’s Harris Theater.

The purpose of the Chicago Innovation awards is to put a spotlight on the most innovative new products and services introduced in the region. Winners each year are innovations that uniquely fill unmet needs, provide new value, exceed market expectations and improve people’s lives. They emerge from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

The Chicago Innovation Awards carry plenty of prestige. Previous winners include Caterpillar, Groupon and Comscore, among other great brands. Out of 204 past winners, 100 percent are still in business and 36 have been acquired with exits now totaling $76 billion.

Being a finalist for a Chicago Innovation award is the most recent in a string of major accomplishments for the company this year. In April, we launched out of stealth mode and immediately generated strong awareness from a number of influential networking publications, including Network World, CIO and SiliconANGLE. Three month later, we announced $8.2 million in Series A funding, which elicited stories in Wall Street Journal, eWeek, and TechCrunch, to name a few.

The positive reactions from the media and analysts have led to proof-of-concept trials with several exciting new customers. And their experience is helping us accelerate the GA version of the product that’s expected to ship later this year.

Until then, stay tuned – we have even more exciting news coming later this fall.
